Bartlett 8213; Pakaraima Mts., Kamarang River-Wenamu Trail, between Paruima Falls and Paruima Mission, 600 m alt., rare epiphyte, pseudobulbs 2- to 3-leaved, flowers white flushed with purple at the base, column yellow, November 8, 1951, B. Maguire & D. B. Fanshawe 32459; same general locality, Samwaraknatipii (Holi-tipú), 1100 m alt., occasional, November 9, 1951, Maguire & Fanshawe 32489. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Rio Apacara, 15-18 km alt., above the mouth of the Caroni, zone of Urimdn, 500-550 m alt., epiphyte on fallen trunks, flowers rose-colored, August 17. 1956, Bernardi 1494; environs of Km 88, high road to El Dorado, L. Aristeguieta 3773, fide Foldats; near Angel Falls, on damp mossy tree trunks and mossy rocks, also Rio Churún, across river from Truffino base camp, G. C. K. Dunsterville 539; along Rio Chicanán, between Puerta Lema and base of Sierra de Lema, lat. 6°5'N., long. 62°W, 300 m alt., epiphyte in rain forest on mossy log, sepals and petals white, lip white with magenta spots, August 30, 1961, J. A. Steyermark 89651. The type was from BRITISH GUIANA.
