    Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. BohSar: Auydn-tepui (summit), 2000-2200 m alt., pseudobulb quadrangular in section, about 6 cm long, September 1937, F. Cardona 211; Canao-tepui (summit), 2470-2500 m alt., epiphyte on trunk of Bonnetia roraimae, leaves coriaceous, dark green above and dull green beneath, sepals and petals orange-brown, lip white with dull brown at base, column dull orange, December 7, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 60908; same locality and date, "sepals and petals pale yellow or olive-green with pale brown transverse bands, lip white with purple above and on crest, column rich yellow with magenta on margin and magenta streaks within," Steyermark 60909; same locality and date, pseudobulbs and leaves larger than those of 60909, latter dark green, "column pale grassgreen; pistillate plant and lip creamy yellow," Steyermark 60910 (type).
