Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Roraima, upper slopes, McConnell & Quelch 29; Ptari-tepui, 2130 m alt., on steep forested slopes at base of first line of sandstone bluffs, on south-facing part, east of "Cave Rock," terrestrial, leaves erect, firmly membranaceous, rich grass-green throughout, pedicels spreading grass-green, flowers fragrant, sepals and petals pale greenish yellow with dull lavender spots, lip rich yellow, November 4, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 59864; Chimantd Massif, northwestern part of summit of Abdcapa-tepui, 2125-2300 m alt., terrestrial in Bonnetia forest, leaf erect, coriaceous, plaited, rich green, peduncle arched-ascending, sepals and petals buff-greenish spotted inside with purple, cucullate and shining without, lip yellow spotted with purple, column becoming reversed, pale greenish with lavender tip, April 13, 1953, Steyermark 74853. Endemic to VENEZUELA.
