Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Chimanta Massif, 1600-1800 m alt., southwestern edge of Apdcara-tepui, in vicinity of Camp 4, terrestrial in moist mossy forest, leaf erect, firmly membranaceous, plaited, April 15, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75036 (no flower); Chimantd Massif, Torono-tepui, in vicinity of Summit Camp along Río Tirica, 1925 m alt., terrestrial, leaves plaited, peduncle lavender at base and maroon above, bracts pale green and purple at base, pedicels pale green with purple spots, sepals olive with purplish tips, lip in bud greenish yellow, column pale green with white apex, March 3, 1955, J. A. Steyermark & J. J. Wurdack 1237 (buds), aff. H. roraimensis Rolfe; bosque enano muscoso, Nor-Este del afluente derecho (Oeste), subiendo el Rio Venamo, arriba de la ladera escarpada de arenisca, 950-1400 m alt., terrestrial, pseudobulbs angled, December 28, 1963, Steyermark & Dunsterville 92322 (fruit).
