Smith 3074 (fruit, so determination uncertain), 3075; savanna between Takutu River and Kanuku Mts., abundant terrestrial, flowers bright yellow with dull purple markings, column with pale green tip, March 12-22, 1938, Smith 3231. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Roraima region, Kotinga Valley, McConnell ir Quelch 136, Appun 1174. Amazonas: Alto Ventuari, savannas, 300 m alt., "12-3-1940," F. Cardona 356. TRINIDAD and BRAZIL. The type was from BRITISH GUIANA.
