Tate 1222; same locality, faldas meridionales: vecindad de Guayaraca, en la primera (inferior) meseta (hombrillo) arriba del valle de Kamarata, 1000 m alt., epiphyte on trees and on rocks in exposed situations at rocky edge of escarpment, pseudobulb 4-angled, yellowish green, leaves erect, stiff, yellow olive green, inflorescence nodding at tip, flowers maroon-purple-red with creamy-white erect crest hairs.
