Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Ptari-tepui, 1800 m alt., on south-facing densely forested slopes overlying sandstone, in vicinity of "Cave Rock," on top of big boulder, stems purple, sepals dull lavender with deeper lavender stripes without, petals pale green with dull lavender stripes, lip depressed, incurved at tip, purple in center of lower half, greenish beyond, with pale lavender on margins, column purple with greenish white appendages and pale green tip, November 8, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 59962. Amazonas: Slopes of Mt. Duida, 1160 m alt., Aguita, August 1928-April 1929, G. H. H.
