Foldats 43216; same locality, cumbre de la parte sureste del brazo noroeste (division occidental del cerro) : faldas secas sobre piedras igneas, entre "Rio Lomita Camp" y "Drizzly Camp," 1850 m alt., attached to granite exposures in sun, pseudobulb purple, peduncle deep purple-magenta, pedicel magenta, sepals and petals deep orchid, lip "orchid apically with pale orange basally bordering white in middle," May 11, 1964, J. Politi 28731. This species is apparently restricted to VENEZUELA.
