Description:Distribution and Ecology - BRITISH GUIANA. Upper Mazaruni River, Membaru Creek, in rocky places, up to 5 ft high, September 25, 1938, A. S. Pinkus 36; Pakaraima Mts. Kamarang River-Wenamu Trail, occasional in savanna at Samarakna-tipii (Holitepu), 1100 m alt., flowers greenish cream-color and very dark maculate, Nov. 10, 1951, B. Maguire & D. B. Fanshawe 32551. COLOMBIA. Vaupes: Mt. Chiribiquete with a quartzite base, at confluence of Macaya and Ajaju Rivers, summit 246-369 m above forest floor, 526-646 m above sea level, plant 6 ft tall, flowers greenish yellow. May 15-16, 1943, R. E. Schultes 5455; Upper Apaporis basin, Rio Macaya, Mt.
