Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Ptari-tepui, 1700-1800 m alt., on forested sandstone south-facing slopes between plateau portion and "Cave Camp," epiphyte on tree, leaves erect, coriaceous, deep green above and paler beneath, flowers greenish-yellow, November 1, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 59703 (young buds only); along Quebrada Sororopdn, between Santa Teresita de Kavanayen and Rio Tek-Yunsen, 1375 m alt., on tree trunk, flowers cream-yellow with pale yellow lip, December 3, 1944, Steyermark 60830 (type) ; Chimantd Massif, 1000-1700 m alt., on southwestern-facing slopes of Chimanta-tepui (Torono-tepui), above valley of Rio Tirica, on tree trunk, leaves erect, coriaceous, rich green above and paler beneath, flowers whitish.
