Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Churi-tepui (Muru-tepui), northwest cumbres, occasional on ledges in upper cumbre, 2250-2300 m alt., flowers white, January 26, 1953, J. J. Wurdack 34218 (type); Chimantd Massif, east-central portion of summit of Apdcara-tepui, 2450-2500 m alt., on moist ledges of large high rock around cave recess, leaves erect, coriaceous, deep dark purple or dull green and purple, pedicels reddish, flowers pale yellow, nodding, June 21-22, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75867.
