Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Mt. Roraima, summit, 2640 m alt., McConnell ir Quelch 700 (type); same locality and altitude, in marshy soil and rock crevices, flowers deep yellow tinged with deep red without, January 7, 1939, A. S. Pinkus 101; same locality, on southwest-facing portion of sandstone ledge just below summit, from beginning of summit vegetation to summit, 2560-2620 m alt., terrestrial and in rock crevices, leaves coriaceous, erect, dull olive-green above and paler beneath, sepals and petals deep yellow, lip deep yellow with orange in center at base between the two longitudinal calli, September 27, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 58795.
