Bolivar: Mt. Roraima, upper slope, Im Thurn 275; Salto de Pard, Medio Caura, 300 m alt., L. Williams 11408; Auydn-tepui, 2000 m alt., December 1937-January 1938, G. H. H. Tate 1235; Auydn-tepui, cumbre de la parte norte de la sección sur (division occidental del cerro): a lo largo del Rio Churiin, vecindad del campamento sur, 1690 m alt., in riverine forest, epiphyte on small tree 1.5-2 m up. May 2, 1964, /. A. Steyermark 93221 (flowers passé); same locality, cumbre de parte central del brazo noroeste (division occidental del cerro) : bosque al lado de pequeña quebrada con agua entre las sabanas al sur de avioneta de Jimmy Angel, 1800 m alt., epiphyte on living tree trunk in Bonnetia roraimae-B. O. parvifolia Rolfe, flowers poor); Chimantá Massif, northwestern part of Abdcapa-tepui, 850-1100 m alt., on forested west-facing slopes with sandstone boulders, between Camp 2 and Camp 3, epiphyte on branches of 75128, leaves coriaceous, purplish green above and silvery beneath, flowers lavender and greenish, April 18, 1953, Steyermark 75132 (sterile); same locality, plateau of southeast-facing upper shoulder of Apdcara-tepui, 2000 m alt., in elfin forest formation, terrestrial, leaves erect, thickly coriaceous, purple with sulcate midrib above, sepals and petals deep wine-orchid, June 19, 1953, Steyermark 75761 (flower poor) ; same locality, Torono-tepui, 2165-2180 m alt., on summit, at edge of escarpment in and among zanjones, on shaded ledges, leaves coriaceous, erect, dull green above and purple beneath, February 9, 1955, J. A. Steyermark & J. J. D. Phelps ir C. B. Hitchcock 487 (sterile in our specimen).
