Description:Distribution and Ecology - BRITISH GUIANA. Basin of Shodikar Creek (Essequibo tributary), lat. about 1°18'N., in dense forest, epiphyte, flower pale yellow to straw-colored, A. C. Smith 2889; Takutu Creek to Puruni River, Mazaruni River, epiphyte on Greenheart tree, D. B. Fanshawe 2131. COLOMBIA. Vaupes: Rio Pacoa (tributary of Rio Apaporis), about 275 m alt., lat. 0°20'N., long. 71°20'W., epiphyte, flowers yellow, lip with central red stripe, February 7-12, 1952, R. E. Schultes & I. Cabrera 15194. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Chimantd Massif, 515 m alt., on forested island near Base Camp, along Rio Tirica, on tree, leaves dull green, subcoriaceous, upper sepal stramineous, lower sepals stramineous-yellow with madder stripes above middle, center of flower dull lavender, March 13, 1955, J. A. Steyermark ir J. J. Wurdack 1382; Rio Icabaru, 2 nd rapids below confluence with Rio Uaiparú, on mossy branches of fairly large tree, G. C. K. Dunsterville 415.
