    Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Auydn-tepui, cumbre de parte central del brazo noroeste (división occidental del cerro): bosque al lado de pequeiia quebrada con agua entre las sabanas al sur de avionete de Jimmy Angel, 1800 m alt., in Bonnetia roraimae-B. Steyermarkii forest, epiphyte on tree branch, leaves 6-7 mm wide, with three purple lines, flowers with maroon streaks. May 7, 1964, J. A. Steyermark 93547; Ptari-tepui, 1700-1800 m alt., on forested sandstone southfacing slopes between plateau portion and "Cave Camp," epiphyte on tree, J. A. Steyermark 59708; La Escalera, 125 k m south of El Dorado, about 760 m alt., in high damp forest, G. C. K. Dunsterville 490. The West Indies (JAMAICA, type of P. foliata and GRENADA, type of P.
