    Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Auyan-tepui, cumbre de la parte sureste del brazo noroeste (division occidental del cerro) : noroeste del "Drizzly Camp," vecindad de afluente de Rio Churún, oeste del Salto Churún, en bosque humedo, 1850 m alt., along river, epiphyte 1.5 m up on tree branch, leaves 3-4 mm wide, rose-purple, flowers rose-purple, May 5, 1964, J. A. Steyermark 93455; Ptari-tepui, 1800- 1850 m alt., on south-facing forested slopes overlying sandstone just northeast of "Cave Rock," epiphyte on branch, leaves coriaceous, dull green above, dull lavender beneath, flowers pale rose-lavender, November 4, 1944, Steyermark 59820. Amazonas: Mt. Duida, Savanna Hills, about 1350 m alt., epiphyte in woods, August 1928-April 1929, G. H. H. Tate 824 (type).
