Description:Distribution and Ecology - COLOMBIA. Vaupes: Amazon Basin, Rio Kubiyu, affluent of Rio Vaupes, about 350 m alt., sepals pale translucent green, H. Humbert & R. E. Schultes 27371. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Mt. Roraima, 1600 m alt., Im Thurn 127; Ilutepui, Gran Sabana, 2000 m alt., in mixed "moss" forest below Tower Escarpment, epiphyte, flowers orange, March 11, 1952, B. Maguire 33361; Sarven-tepui, 1200 m alt., slopes and talus forest, along Rio Sarven, I km downstream from Camp 9, on fallen dead branch, "tepals orange; lip brownish red," February 8, 1953, J. J. Wurdack 34345 (only 1 young flower present) ; Chimanta Massif, southwestern edge of Apacara-tepui, 1600-1800 m alt., vicinity of Camp 4, on branch in moist mossy forest, leaves subcoriaceous, rich green above and pale beneath, "flowers buff with purple-madder at base," April 15, 1953, J.
