Description
Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Roraima range, about 1000 m alt., McConnell if Quelch 703 (type) ; 100 km south of El Dorado, about 600 m alt., in fairly tall forest, G. C. A. Dunsterville 519; Rio Uiri-yuk, 10-15 km below Cerro Escalera. about 100 m alt., epiphyte on trunk of Licania, in riverine woodland, August 17, 1962, B. & C. K. Maguire & J. A. Steyermark 46760; bosque enano a lo largo de la fila Oeste del afluente derecho (Oeste) subiendo el Rio Venamo, 1000 m alt., epiphyte, leaves coriaceous, 8 mm wide, sepals pale salmon-buff to pale lilac, petals similar but slightly darker, January 4, 1964, Steyermark & Dunsterville 92709. The type was from Roraima Range; hence, VENEZUELA.
