Discussion:

Anamorph: Acremonium sp. (Samuels, 1973).

This species is a common parasite of myxomycetes in north temperate regions; it is rare in the tropics. Samuels [1973: figs. 3, 4, 21-25, as Nectria candicans (Plowr.) Samuels].
