Schomburgk s.n., Jenman 5911, 5912, 5913; near Corentyne River, Jenman 235, I m Thurn s.n.; near Essequibo River, Jenman 1097; below Kaieteur Falls, in Gorge of Potaro River, in dark forest, terrestrial, "greenish white, upper pet. and sep. whitish, tinged with pink at apex. Lower sepals falcate-connivent," September 10, 1937, N. Y. Sandwith 1471. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Cerro Guaiquinima, Rio Paraqua, at shaded damp base of second escarpment, 1000 m alt., rare terrestrial, flowers greenish white, December 21, 1951, B. Maguire 32734. Middle America, TOBAGO and TRINIDAD (types of Neottia acaulis and Arethusa picta), ECUADOR, PERU, BOLIVIA, BRAZIL, PARAGUAY and ARGENTINA.
