Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Chimanta Massif, semi-open shoulder of northwestern part of Abacapa-tepui, 1400 m alt., epiphyte on tree trunk in dwarf forest, leaves dark green and plaited, flower-bud with greenish white sepals and lip whitish, ruffled and marked with magenta along edge, fruit pendant, April 19, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75170; Chimanta Massif, vicinity of Bluff Camp, at the base of west-facing sandstone bluffs of Chimanta-tepui (Torono-tepui), 1700 m alt., epiphyte with stems pendant from tree trunk, leaves firmly membranouschartaceous, dark green above and dull green beneath, sepals and petals whitish with tinge of green at tip, lip with lower half -white, pale yellow above with two or three bands of dark brown spots, the margins finely undulate, June 2-4, 1953, Steyermark 75633; 120 km south of El Dorado, about 600 m alt., in rather tall, fairly damp forest, G. C. K. Dunstennlle 501. PERU (type of Cyathoglottis Candida).
