Bolivar: Ptari-tepui, Brocchinia-Stegolepis-Heliamphora swamp on southwest-facing shoulder, 2200 m alt., terrestrial, sepals greenish with pale greenish in center of lower sepals, petals cream-yellow, lip creamy white with rose-lavender or magenta, November 2, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 59786 (type) ; Chimanta Massif, Bonnetia forest, northwestern part of summit of Abdcapa-tepui, 2125-2300 m alt., near water by sandstone boulder, stem erect, purple, sepals rose-red, petals and lip pale yellow with magenta at the tip, column magenta, April 13, 1953, Steyermark 74859.
