Maguire 33544-A; Ilu-tepui, Gran Sabana, in open savanna in drainage of Rio Aponguao, 1200 m alt., infrequent, flowers bright yellow, March 27-28, 1952, Maguire 33638; vicinity of Uriman, in large savanna, 300 m alt., leaves erect with incurved margins, flowers yellow, April 30, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75315. Amazonas: near Maipures, Spruce 3650; along junction between riverine forest and savanna about 5 km west of Santa Barbara, at junction of Rios Ventuari and Orinoco, 100 m alt., flowers yellow, February 23, 1951, R. S. Cowan & J. J. Wurdack 32072; Alto Rio Orinoco, on Esmeralda Ridge, 150-200 m alt., flowers yellow, B. Maguire & J. J. Wurdack 34655. TRINIDAD and BRAZIL. The type of Habenaria heptadactyla was from Venezuela.
