Description:Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bohvar: Roraima region, Arabapu River, McConnell & Quelch 144; Roraima, Aroie Creek, Kotinga River, Im Thurn 5; Ipelemouta, Arapu River, Im Thurn 31; Kako River, Appun 1212; Roraima, headwaters of the Caroni, near river, Ule s.n.; swampy savannas at the foot of Roraima, headwaters of the Caroni, Schomburgk 718, 1065; vicinity of Salto de Pacairao, bordering Rio Pacairao, about 3 km east to northeast of Santa Teresita de Kavanayen, 1220 m alt., common in mosses along rocky, sandy stream-bank, dorsal sepal pale lilac striped with lavender, lower sepal greenish white with pale green stripes in upper half, pale lavender in lower half near the tip, petals drooping, twisted, pale lilac striped with lavender, lip pale green to greenish yellow, the broad margins of the orifice white with olive green spots, November 24, 1944, J.
