Arnold Arb. 2 7 : 314, 315. 1946). This is the plant often called in English the strawberry guava, probably a native of eastern Brazil, but often cultivated elsewhere in the tropics. It is included here for comparison; I have not seen any specimens from our area, although the plant doubtless occurs there
