  • Discussion

This is apparently a somewhat localized montane representative of the complex that includes Myrcia fallax. The leaves are small (3-7 cm long) and obtuse or shortly and bluntly acuminate, on relatively short petioles (2-4 or sometimes 6 m m long); the pubescence of the entire plant is scanty and the flowers are relatively small.
