Discussion:

The following specimen represents C. pullei var immaculata McVaugh, from the type locality: V E N E Z U E L A . Bolivar: Rio Paragua, Raudal de Guaiquinima, elev 475 m, 15 Jan 1962 (fl), Steyermark 90792 ( M I C H ). The following represents a small range-extension for C. pullei, if indeed it belongs to that species; the panicles are about 25-flowered (as against the usual 30-40 flowers), the leaves are inconspicuously dotted (as in var immaculata which is hitherto unknown except from Venezuela): BRAZIL.
