Description:Distribution and Ecology - Mexico to Peru and Brazil. Widely distributed in Guayana with chief concentration in Edo. Bolivar at low or medium altitudes. Often weedy. GUYANA. Kamarang River Crossing, Kamarang Head, 2700 ft alt., herbaceous annual with white reflexed flowers 5-15 dm high, 5 Mar 1952, Maguire 33262 (NY); Mt. Ayanganna, Pakaraima Mts., occasional in savanna, woodland vie. Chenowieng, 550- 1500 m alt., annual 1 m high with square stems, flowers greenish-white, 7-8 Feb 1955, Maguire, Bagshaw & Maguire 40607 (NY).
