Distribution and Ecology - PANAMA. Darien: above Santa Fe, Rio Sabana, Duke 14110 (MO), Croat 11608 (MO). Western South America (probably Bolivia): R. Pearce s n (Jun 1965) (fr) (BM) (bank of stream about Sta Cruz), .sn (Mar 1866) (fr) (BM, K) (Coroico, 3000/4000 ft).

Discussion
Pearce states on the label of the first specimen: "semiscandent evergreen shrub with long slender stems."
This is the first record of the species from Panama and probably from Bolivia.
