Description:Genus Description - Rhizomes very long-creeping, wiry, bearing scattered fronds. Laminae minute to small, ovate to oblong, pinnate-pinnatifid to 2-pinnate-pinnatifid, usually with narrow segments, usually 1 cell thick between the veins, glabrous or bearing minute, simple, forked, or stellate hairs; stipes and rachises terete, wiry, exalate or partially or entirely alate; venation free, pinnate; sori marginal and terminal at the end of veins, the indusial involucres bivalvate, circular, semicircular, or angled at the base, the receptacles rarely exserted.
