  • Discussion

Faramea salicifolia auct. non Presl: Bremekamp in Pulle, Fl. Surin. 4(1): 203. 1934, in part.

Faramea angustifolia auct. non Spruce ex Benth.: Field Mus. Publ. Bot. 7: 417. 1931.

Some of the specimens from Suriname and British Guiana have been previously identified by Bremekamp and Standley as F. salicifolia, and those from Venezuela have been treated by Standley as F. angustifolia, from both of which the present taxon differs in several respects, as indicated in the key to species and in the key to varieties of F. multiflora.
