Description
Distribution and Ecology - Northern Brazil. BRAZIL. In addition to the specimens cited by Ducke, the following may be recorded: Bosque Municipal, Belem, Para, 30 March 1946, Ducke 1948.

Bellynkxia triphylla (Ducke) Brem., Rec. Trav. Bot. Neerl. 31: 276. 1934.
Type. Silvis primariis umbrosis non inundatis, ad viam ferream inter Belem et Braganca, Para, Brazil, Ducke (Herb. RIO 23210).
This species is doubtfully included in Appunia. It differs from other species of the genus in the elongated style with two slender, acute stigmas, sessile nonpedunculate inflorescences, and corolla-tube completely glabrous within.
