The specimens of Williams 13016, Foldats 3529, and Maguire, Wurdack tfc Bunting 36046 are topotypes. The corollas in var glomerata are elongate to 20-21 mm long with a tube 13 mm long and lobes 7-8 mm long by 4-5.5 mm broad. The calyx-lobes, which are linear-oblanceolate or subulate, are slightly unequal, 10-13 mm long, 0.7-1.2 mm broad, sericeous-strigose without and glabrous within. The capsules, which are 7-9 mm long by 4-4.5 mm broad, are densely sericeous with hairs 1.5 mm long. The seeds are dark castaneous-brown, rugulose-verruculose and 0.6-0.8 mm in diameter. The outer bracts subtending the inflorescence are lanceolate, 13-14 mm long by 3-5 mm broad, ciliate on margins, externally sericeous and glabrous within, denticulate and glandular on the lower part of the margins. The hypanthium, which is obconic-turbinate, is 5 mm long by 3 mm broad and densely sericeous.
