Discussion:

The Spruce specimen was labelled “Sipanea radicans Endl. (an S. biflora L.f. ?) ”

This short-fruited form appears to be one with reduced size of capsules. The elongated lateral floral axes of the inflorescence fall into the pattern shown within the S. dichotoma-S. trichantha group, while the broadish, ovate leaves resemble typical var pratensis.
