Description:Distribution and Ecology - Floating in still or slow flowing water at low altitudes from Cuba and British Honduras southwards to Argentina, not often collected in the Guayana region. BRITISH GUIANA. Rupununi River, St. Ignatius, alt 90 m, Harrison 1309 (K); Rupununi River, Dawbar Wau, Cook 78 (K); Arackmere Wau, Cook 145 (K). VENEZUELA.
