Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Amazonas: forest edge south and east of Maroa, Rio Guainia; alt. 130 m; vine climbing to 2 m high; corolla white; 4 Jul 1959, J. J. Wurdack & L. S. Adderley 43316 (holotype NY).

Discussion:

This species is characterized by the combination of the large subinfundibuliform corolla, densely puberulous within the tube, the blunt short protuberance on the inner part of the corolla-lobe, glabrous lobate involucre and calyx, solitary peduncle, and weakly or scarcely nerved leaf-blades.
