Scientific Name:Sapium aucuparium Jacq.
Description:Distribution and Ecology - Definitely known only from Santa Marta and Turbaco area, Colombia, and the vicinity of Caracas, Venezuela. According to Huber, Hemsley erroneously identified as S. aucuparium, British Guiana specimens which he described as a new species, S. hemsley ana Hub. There is however one sterile specimen in NY from British Guiana, which seems to represent this species. BRITISH GUIANA. Without exact locality, 12 Sep 1907, F. C. Foote s.n. (sterile NY).
