Description
Distribution and Ecology - Very restricted and little known because the weedy P. stipulatus often has been identified erroneously under this name. There is one poor specimen in NY collected by Spruce in Santarem prov., Para, Brazil, which agrees well with Kunth’s original description. It has been identified as P. microphyllus and probably represents this species. BRAZIL. Para: In vicinibus Santarem, Apr 1850, R. Spruce s.n. (NY from herb. C. M. Lemann).
