Type. “Crescit in umbrosis fluminis Tuamini prope pagum San Antonio de Javita” (photo NY).

Phyllanthus myrsinites is similar to P. glaucoviridis, from which it differs in the lack of the sublaminal gland. Further collection of flowering material is needed. Because of the scanty material available I am largely depending on Muller-Argoviensis in not including this species in section Microglochidion
