Description:Genus Description - Similar to Drypetes with its densely glomerulate cymules, unilocular fruit, and dioecious flowers. It differs from Drypetes in its 3-carpellate capsular fruit, and in its 3-lobed stigmata. The (male) flowers are petaliferous, the filaments are variously connate, and the disk is extrastaminal.
Distribution and Ecology - Easily recognized by the black, fine puncticulation of the lower side of the leaf. Further collections are required to show the taxonomic worth of this character.
