1. Memora cladotricha Sandwith, Kew Bull. 1953: 482. 1954. Type. Colombia. Meta, Philipson 2123 (BM, COL, US). Sandwith's definitive character of branched trichomes is not constant in this species. As thus defined M. cladotricha turns out not to be endemic to the Colombian Serrania de la Macarena but occurs through most of southern Venezuela and Colombia and south to Peru.
