    Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA: Amazonas: occasional along Eio Caisiquiare just above Piedra Guanare, alt. 110 m; bushy tree 10 m; fls white, pink-flushed; 25 Jun 1959, Wurdack & Adderley 43181.The range of the typical form of this species, with this first report from Venezuela, extends from north-central Matto Grosso (the type locality), to the mouth of the Amazon River, to the upper Rio Negro drainage and the southwestern extremity of Venezuela.
