Description:Genus Description - Inflorescence racemose or cymosely-paniculate, axillary, flowers commonly (5-) 10-20, often secundly circinate, pedicellate; pedicels glabrous to densely stellate-pubescent; calyx cupuliform, commonly 5-6-denticulate, commonly tomentose; corolla sympetalous, deeply 5-lobed or 5-partite, commonly pubescent, lobes valvate; stamens 10, the filaments adnate to the corolla tube, anthers basifixed, introrse, bithecate; pollen grains prolate-sphaeroidal, 3-colporate; ovary 3-carpellate, the dissepiments receding upwards, pluriovulate, placentation basal; fruit commonly indehiscent, 1(-2)-seeded.
