VENEZUELA: Bolivar: Chimantá Massif, scrub forest near Summit Camp, alt. 1295 m, Steyermark & Wurdack 373.
Dr. Andrews kindly informs me that there are only two known localities for
this species in South America: Venezuela and Ecuador. The Venezuelan material
was collected by Steyermark from Bolivar but not from the locality given
above. The Ecuador record was in the AYarnstorf Herbarium in Berlin and was
destroyed in the last war.
