Crest of Ridge 25, 6300 ft alt, Mount Duida, Territorio Amazonas, Venezuela, 26 Nov-16 Dec 1928, G. H. H. Tate 453 (holotype NY). On Huachamacari this extraordinary dendroid species of Heliamphora forms dense populations over extensive moor-like savannas. There the abundant plants uniformly reach a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters. However, in marginal areas or in open sparse woodlands individuals m a y become partly scandent and will reach a height of 4 meters.
