Cerro Huachamacari: branched herb to 2 m high, flowers white, locally frequent, cumbre at 1800 m alt, 6 Dec 1950, Maguire, et al 30000 (NY); branched herb 2 m high, frequent, summit East Ridge No. 1 at 1820 m alt, 8 Dec 1950, Maguire et al 30074 (NY); branched caulescent herb to 1.5 m high, flowers white, segments 4, fruiting perianth red, pitchers somewhat constricted in the middle, abundant in open cumbre at 1900 m alt, Maguire et al 30121 (NY); branched perennial herb to 4 m high, frequent, low bush west of Caño del Dios, at 1600 m alt, 14 Dec 1950, Maguire et al 30247 (NY, 2 sheets); flowers white, frequent, SW escarpment at 1850 m alt, 17 Dec 1950, Maguire et al 30314 (NY).

Crest of Ridge 25, 6300 ft alt, Mount Duida, Territorio Amazonas, Venezuela, 26 Nov-16 Dec 1928, G. H. H. Tate 453 (holotype NY). On Huachamacari this extraordinary dendroid species of Heliamphora forms dense populations over extensive moor-like savannas. There the abundant plants uniformly reach a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters. However, in marginal areas or in open sparse woodlands individuals m a y become partly scandent and will reach a height of 4 meters.
