(holotype M photo NY, isotype R photo NY) ; Sabana de la Angostura, Rio Caqueta, Araraeuara, Amazonas, Colombia, Garcia-Barrif/a y Schultes 14140 (NY, US); 1417.1 (NY, US).Distribution: Known only from the type locality, where the attractive plant is common enough to supply the markets of Bogota13 with cut flowers.
