Estado Bolivar, region of Cerro Venamo: shrub 3-4 m high, stems sprangling, Cerro la Danta, wooded quebrada, 1040-1060 m, 3 Apr 1960, Steyermark & Nilsson 20 (NY, UPS, VEN); in forest on flat shoulder above first line of bluffs, Cerro Venamo, 1100-1140 m, 21 Apr 1960, Steyermark & Nilsson 450 (holotype VEN, isotypes NY, UPS); rechning shrub to 3 m, frequent in mixed montane forest above escarpment of Escalera, 850 m alt, 20-21 Aug 1962, Maguire, Steyermark & Maguire 46833 (NY, VEN, US); sprangling woody plant with stems elongating to 3-4 m, mossy humid montane forest, Rfo Venamo, 950-1150 m, 29-30 Dec 1963, Steyermark, Dunsterville & Dunsterville 92341 (NY, VEN).
