  • Discussion

    The long and twisted history of this Australasian taxon was reviewed by Tan and Koponen (1983) who updated its distribution to include the Solomon Islands, New Guinea and Bomeo. Now its range can be extended to Mindanao Island ofthe Philippines. When fresh the plant has aristate leaves and looks like a stiff Dicranoloma. Other distinguishing characters were outlined and illustrated by Tan and Koponen (1983). The Philippine population is sterile
