Description
Species Description - Much like no. 185 [Carex crinita Lam.]; lf-sheaths hispidulous; lowest bract 1–3.5 dm; lower pistillate scales with acute or acuminate body; perigynia elliptic to ovate, acute, somewhat compressed, scarcely or not at all inflated, 2.4–4.2 mm; 2n=68. Woods and swales; Nf. to ne. Minn., s. to Wis. and Va., and in the mts. to n. Ga. (C. crinita var. g.)
