Description
Species Description - Occurring on gravelly shores from Nf. to Me. and Minn., may be only an ecotype of no. 137 [Carex conoidea Willd.]. It is smaller, to 2 dm, the stems much overtopped by the lvs and elongate bracts; staminate spike sessile or nearly so, little if at all overtopping the pistillate; pistillate spikes 0.5–1.5 cm, nearly or quite contiguous.
